Heroes of the day are Radnicki from Kragujevac, who just this year returned to the first league, after they beat strong Spartak Subotica 3.5-2.5 even with GM Dragan Barlov sitting on the bench. Beograd Beopublikum convincingly scored their first match win 4-2 against ZTP. Novosadski SK DDOR also won to reach the 2nd place tie. GM Stelios Halkias came directly from Acropolis Cup to enforce the weak Partizan, but they opted for non-played 3-3 tie vs Bora Kostic

There are 8 rounds left, but they should start catching with the rushing Gorenje. Novosadski SK, another contender for the first place is also sitting on 3 points.

Spartak from Subotica, another strong team, scored narrow win against ZTP which encourages their optimism for the future rounds. Individual heroes of the day are Serbian junior champion FM Boban Bogosavljevic and Chessdom contributor GM Yuri Solodovnichenko, both of whom scored only and decisive wins for their teams.

Not too many decided games in Men’s League, but there are couple of notable surprises. One of them is Novosadski SK stumbling against ZTP. Women’s championship was much more interesting – BAS and Spartak demolished their opposition showing clear intentions to fight for the title.
