Only a few hours before the official announcement of the teams for the European Chess Championship ina Crete, Greece, Chessdom.com received the list of the top participants at the ETCC directly from the organizers. There will be six top ten players.

There are only 20 days to the first round of the European Team Chess Championship in Crete, Greece. Until now three from the top countries + Veselin Topalov have announced their teams.

World Junior Championship

World Junior Championship (U20) is taking place on October 3rd-16th in, just like last year, Armenian capitol Yerevan. Even with Magnus Carlsen and Teimour Radjabov preferring more lucrative (money-wise) European Club Cup, both events are exceptionally strong: 80 participating juniors are averaging 2330 elo points, while 59 girls are forming the field of average 2030 elo points.
