The 2010 World Juniors and Girls U-20 Chess Championships will be held from August 2 (arrival day) to 17 (departure day) at Chotowa, Municipality Czarna, close to the city of Tarnow in Poland.

On 1st July the bid deadline for the European Championships 2012 has elapsed. The European Chess Union (ECU) office in Berlin received a large number of bids which are posted bellow. European events are becoming extremely popular, as ECU Marketing Director Theodoros Tsorbatzoglou highlighted in his article.

First photos of the future North American Chess Center are posted on the NACA website. Bare bones now with no fresh paint job or carpeting on the floor. These will be addressed in the coming weeks along with filling the walls with art work, the space with furniture, and of course the center with chess “stuff”!
