Brugsemeesters 2016: Vladimir Epishin with top prize

The Royal Chess Club of Bruges (KBSK) organized the 2016 Brugsemeesters Open tournament from 14-18th August at the KTA in Brugge, Belgium.

The 9-round Swiss event gathered 101 participants.

Russian Grandmaster Vladimir Epishin emerged clear winner with 7,5/9 points, leaving GM Alberto David, IM Awonder Liang and IM Steven Geirnaert half a point behind.

Tournament director was Piceu Tom and Chief Arbiter was IA Bailleul Geert. More information on the official website.
