Christian Gagliardi wins 4th FOA Italian Blitz Qualifier

CISOThe 4th qualifier of the Italian Online Blitz Chess Championship took place on October 22nd, 2015, at the FIDE Online platform.

The event was a 9-round Swiss blitz championship with tempo of play 3′ + 2″ and 68 players participated.

ANM Christian Gagliardi emerged a solo winner with 8/9 points, leaving the runner-up, ANM Riccardo Alaimo, half a point behind.

The other players who qualified for the Semifinal are: ANC Marian Tudorache who collected 7 points, Sergio RInaudoANM Fabio ImbragugliaAIM Massimo Tricomi, Andrea DappianoAFM/AN3 Fiorinto Cuppone and AN2 ANDREA CRICCA, all with 6.5 points and ANC Andrea Rinaudo, who was the highest places participant with 6 points according to the tiebreak criteria.

FOA Italian Blitz Chess Championship takes place from October 1st to December 11th, 2015. It consists of 8 qualifying tournaments, Semifinal and Final. 10 players from each qualifier continue to the next Stage, so that 80 players take part in the Semifinal. The best 12 will be vying in the Finals.
