GM Andres Rodriguez Conquers Monte Caseros

Abierto IRT Internacional “Triple Frontera de America” was organized by Juan Antonio Bella on 16-19th February in Monte Caseros, Argentina.

The 7-round Swiss tournament gathered 60 players and among them five Grandmasters.

Uruguayan Grandmaster Andres Rodriguez Vila took a clear first place with 6.0 points, half a point clear of Cuban-Colombian GM Neuris Delgado Ramirez and local GM Diego Flores.

Andres Rodriguez will next compete in the Festa da Uva in Caxias do Sul in Brazil.

Monte Caseros is a city in the south-east of the province of Corrientes in the Argentine Mesopotamia. It is near the triple border between Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
