The 31st International Chess Marathon of Saverne is set to take place on 28-29th September at the Sports Hall C.O.S.E.C. – Place des Dragons in Saverne, France.
The tournament starts on Saturday at 4pm and lasts for 24 hours straight! Hot and cold catering will be provided for the players.
The tournament format is 32 rounds with the time control 20 minutes per player. Marathon is open to public.
The total prize fund is 3000 EUR. Top prizes are EUR 800/500/300/200 etc.
There are already 50 players registered to take part in the Marathon. Top rated are Grandmasters Matthieu Cornette, Vitaly Kunin and Sebastien Maze.
