Marshall Attack and Sveshnikov Sicilian have survived another test. Carlsen escaped from weaker position to win another game against Topalov. Deja vu? :) Shirov persistently followed 'his line' against the Marshall Attack, where Leko held a draw with black the other day, and managed to push the pawn all the way to f7. Cute mate threat from Aronian forced him to underpromote and we had a pleasure to follow an interesting unbalanced ending, where black was able to reach a draw. Ivanchuk-Radjabov and Anand-Leko were also drawn.
Vishy Anand - Peter Leko draw
Magnus Carlsen - Veselin Topalov 1-0
