Serbian Team Championship - Round 10

VSK Gorenje and Beograd Beopublikum going even into the last round

Both VSK Gorenje and Beograd Beopublikum have won their 10th round matches to continue sharing 1st place with Gorenje having half point better individual scores for additional criteria. The 2nd criteria is their match result and this one is favoring Beopublikum. In the last round Gorenje is playing Bora Kostic, who are desperately fighting to avoid relegation, and Beopublikum has easier task against weak Rad.

Spartak suffered painful 1.5-4.5 defeat at the hands of BSK Gambit and dropped to 4th place as Novosadski SK demolished Bora Kostic. The two teams will meet each other in the last round. Radnicki and Sloga Amiga employed treacherous tactics of setting quick 3-3 without play, leaving Bora Kostic in dangerous zone. Any other result would favor Bora Kostic, but maybe they got what they deserved as they did exactly the same in earlier rounds. Partizan and Radnicki are set to play in the last round, and before you look at the crosstable, we bet Bobby Fischer's beard that the result will be 3-3. No wonder media are not interested in chess, someone should stop this behavior.

On the bright side, 17-years old Nikola Nestorovic achieved his 3rd IM norm. Congratulations!
