WGMs Ambartsumova, Shaydullina, Nikolova, Videnova enter FIDE Online Women Blitz Championship 2015

The 3rd qualifying tournament of the ongoing FIDE World Online Women Blitz Championship 2015 is set to take place on 30th July (at 7:00 GMT/UTC time) on the official FIDE Online platform.

The FIDE World Online Women Blitz Championship 2015 is a new attractive event in which players can participate from the comfort of their home, without costs associated with the hotels and airfares.

The Thursday tournament is shaping to be very strong, with Women Grandmasters Karina Ambartsumova, Sandugach Shaydullina (both Russia), Adriana Nikolova and Iva Videnova (both Bulgaria) leading the field.

WIM Qianyun Gong (Singapore), WIM Ann Lindsay Chumpitaz Carbajal (Peru), WIM Svetla Yordanova (Bulgaria), WIM Melissa Castrillon Gomez (Colombia), WIM Diana Real (Mexico), WIM Ayelen Martinez (Argentina) will be challenging the top 8 spots that qualify the player to the semifinal.

A number of amateur female players are taking advantage of this unique opportunity to compete with the title holders from all over the world.

1st FIDE World Online Women Blitz Championship 2015

The first stage of the Championship will be completed over eight (8) qualifier tournaments, followed by a semifinal with 64 players, and a final tournament with 10 players.

World’s leading Grandmasters, as former World Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk, former Challenger Humpy Koneru, and Harika Dronavalli have already qualified from one of the earlier online tournaments.

A rich prize fund of 9000 USD will be awarded in the final tournament. Registrations for the FIDE event are continuously open.

The competition will take place on the official FIDE Arena Online platform. FIDE Online uses AceGuard, anti-cheating and security software of new generation. Based on advanced behavioral analysis and the activities of the players, AceGuard indicates deviations from proper procedures of play.
