The 12th Arab Games are taking place on 10-23rd December in Doha, Qatar. The chess competitions will be held at the Al-Dana Indoor Hall, adjacent to the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

The Arab Games are a regional multi-sport event held between nations from the Arab World. They are organized by the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees. The first Games took place in 1953 in Alexandria, Egypt. Chess was first included in 1999 Games in Amman, Jordan.
