The 19th Annual Pacific Coast Open will be held from July 17-20, 2014, at the Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel, 30100 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills, California.

The event has 6 sections: Open, Under 2100, Under 1900, Under 1700, Under 1500 and Under 1250. All sections have either 4-day (July 17-20), 3-day (July 18-20) or 2-day (July 19-20) schedules to play in.

The tournament format is 6-round Swiss with the time control 40/100, SD/30, d10 (2-day option, rds 1-3 G/40, d10).

Last year GM Timur Gareev and FM John Bryant shared first place in the Open section.

The event has a $25,000 prize fund, based on 230 paid entries, with $20,000 minimum guaranteed.

Open Section: $3000-1500-700-400, clear or tiebreak win $100 bonus, top U2300/Unr $1200-600. FIDE rated, 150 Grand Prix Points.
Under 2100 Section: $2000-1000-500-300.
Under 1900 Section: $2000-1000-500-300.
Under 1700 Section: $1700-900-500-300.
Under 1500 Section: $1500-800-400-200.
Under 1250 Section: $700-400-300-200, trophies to first 3, top U1000, U800, Unr.
