42nd Selangor Open Chess Tournament

Selangor Open backdropThe 42nd Selangor Open Chess Tournament, dedicated to the memory of Mrs Jackie Wong, is scheduled to take place from 30th April to 4th May, 2015, in Kuala Lumpur, the federal capital and most populous city of Malaysia.

The event is a 9-round Swiss FIDE tournament with the participation of 92 players from 5 different countries. Huge amount of the players are school-going children (58 participants).

The tempo of play will be 90′ + 30″, while top seed is Russian player GM Alexander Fominykh (2439).
