43rd Annual National Chess Congress in Philadelphia

The 43rd Annual National Chess Congress was held from November 23-25, 2012 at the Sheraton Hotel Philadelphia City Center, 17th and Race Streets, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Congress had ten playing sections: Premier, Under 2200, Under 2000, Under 1800, Under 1600, Under 1400, Under 1200, Under 1000, Under 800, Under 600.
In addition, there were Black Friday Open and Blitz events.

The prize fund of $30,000 was distributed as:

Premier, open to all rated 2000/above and juniors under 18 rated 1800/above. $3000-1500-700-400-200, clear win or 1st on tiebreak $100, U2400/Unr $1400-700. FIDE rated.
Under 2200: $2000-1000-500-300-200.
Under 2000: $2000-1000-500-300-200.
Under 1800: $2000-1000-500-300-200.
Under 1600: $2000-1000-500-300-200.
Under 1400: $1400-700-400-300-200.
Under 1200: $1400-700-400-300-200.
Under 1000: Trophies to top 10.
Under 800: Trophies to top 10.
Under 600: Trophies to top 10.
