The “Accentus Young Masters 2018” will take place in the historic building “Hotel Schloss” in Bad Ragaz from February 27th to March 8th. In this nine-round invitation tournament, four young Swiss players will meet six strong competitors from five nations. The tournament is supported by the Swiss Chess Federation (SSB) in collaboration with the club Gonzen organized and kindly provided by the Foundation ACCENTUS, fund chess Switzerland.
The participants of the “Accentus Young Masters 2018” come from six different countries. From Switzerland, the Grand Master Noël Studer (Muri BE / 2481 ELO), the two International Champions Oliver Kurmann (Lucerne / 2467) and Gabriel Gähwiler (Neftenbach / 2429) and the 15-year-old Fabian Bänziger (Pfäffikon SZ / 2373) participate. There are also Nikita Petrov from Russia (2573), from Germany GM Andreas Heimann (2582) and IM Lev Yankelevich (2446), from Italy GM Luca Moroni (2558) from France GM Adrien Demuth (2547) and from Austria IM Georg Fröwis (2428).
