Alexander Donchenko emerges on the top of the Tata Steel Challengers 2023

Alexander Donchenko emerged as the sole leader of the Tata Steel Challengers 2023 after defeating Mustafa Yilmaz, his co-leader from the previous round. It was a round with lots of victories, and only one game finished in a draw.

Donchenko had a better position from the opening but the Turkish Champion made a huge mistake with 35…Qf6 and resigned after only 20 minutes and 12 moves of play.

Javokhir Sindarov was victorious against Eline Roebers, emerging on second place with 5 points. Mustafa Yilmaz, Velimir Ivic and Thomas Beerdsen follow with 4.5 points, each.
