Alina L’Ami and Sophie Milliet win the JAPFA Women’s Grandmaster Tournament

The JAPFA Women’s Grandmaster Tournament took place on 14th-19th April at the 5th floor of the Century Athlete Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The two first seeded players tied on first place with 6/10 points. French IM Sophie Milliet was on the lead before the last round, but only managed to draw in her last games, so WGM Alina L’Ami from Romania took her chance and defeated Natacha Benmesbah to arrive at the same score.

Third place went to the local WIM Monica Sihite Chelsie.

This was a double round robin event with 6 strong female participants.
