Arjun Erigaisi crosses 2800 at the European Chess Club Cup 2024

The European Chess Club Cup 2024 takes place from 19 to 25 October in Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia. 85 teams registered for the Open section, represented by 585 players.

Arjun Erigaisi, playing for the team of Alkaloid, defeated Dmitry Andreikin and crossed 2800 ELO.

Arjun Erigaisi is born February 21, 2004. Arjun achieved the Grandmaster title in 2021, making him one of the youngest Grandmasters from India. His FIDE rating has seen him rise among the top players globally, showcasing his potential and skill in competitive chess. He knocked on the door of the 2800 club during the Chess Olympiad. For the first time he had the chance to cross 2800 at the Schachbundesliga but failed to do so. Now this dream comes true at the European Chess Club Cup. Stay tuned for details
