Artemiev wins Chess Stars, ahead of Karjakin and Radjabov

Vladislav Artemiev is the winner of Chess Stars 2022. Artemiev collected 18,5 points – 12 from the blitz games and 6,5 from the rapid – to claim the gold medal in the event. In his first official event after the FIDE ban expired, Sergey Karjakin secured the second place with 17 points – 12 from the blitz and 5 from the rapid. The third place is for Teimour Radjabov, while Alexander Morozevich, who replaced Grischuk at the last moment, had difficulties in the rapid part, but recovered in the blitz section.
