Asian Seniors and Amateur Chess Championships 2014

Chess Federation of Sri LankaThe Chess Federation of Sri Lanka, on behalf of the Asian Chess Federation, is organizing the 5th Asian Seniors and Amateur Championships from 5-12th December 2014 in Waskaduwa, Sri Lanka.

The tournaments will be played in 9 rounds according to Swiss System in respect to the FIDE Rules.
Time control: 90 minutes for the whole game with 30 second increment per move from the first move.

The Asian Seniors and Amateur Championships are open to all Asian seniors and amateurs players. The Asian Amateur Championship is open to all eligible players who shall have no FIDE Title or published FIDE Rating above 2000 at the start of the tournament nor had such a Rating for at least 2 years prior to the start of the event.

The Asian Seniors Championship is open to Asian senior players. All participants must have been born in 1963 or before. The highest rank player in the Age group of more than 65 will be named as the over 65 Champion.

Prizes:
Asian Seniors 1st $800; 2nd $500; 3rd $300; 4th $200 and 5th $100; Best Woman $300 Best over 65 player 300
Asian Amateur 1st $1000; 2nd $600; 3rd $400; 4th $200 and 5th $100; Best Woman $300 Best Unrated Player $ 200
Gold, Silver and Bronze with trophies for Champions will be arranged.
