Balkan Youth Online Chess Championships

Balkan Chess Federation, affiliated to FIDE, organises Balkan Youth Online Individual and Team Championships from 31st October to 1st November through Tornelo Online platform.

The event will be played in 7 rounds, Swiss system, within 5 age categories: U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18, open and girls separately.

Each of the 10 categories will be played individually and the winners will be decided as cumulative result of the best 5 players representing one National federation.

Balkan Youth Online Chess Championships

The event is open to all chess federations affiliated to FIDE from the Balkan chess countries. Each federation has the right to nominate up to three players per each age category. Balkan Chess Federation keeps the right to accept direct entries.

Registrations shall be sent to the following email address: balkanchessfederation@gmail.com before the registration deadline 27th of October 2020.

As an anti-cheating measure, the players will have to download and install ZOOM Client for Meetings and during the games will be obliged to turn on “Share my screen” function and video.

The best ranked teams will become Balkan Youth Team Online Champions for 2020 while the best ranked individual players will become Balkan Youth Team Individual Online Champions for 2020. All the winners and participants will receive e-certificates which confirms their participation and achievement during the event.
