The traditional Ballarat Begonia Chess Tournament will once again – for the 51st time – take place over the Victoria Labour Day weekend from 11-13 March 2017.

The playing venue will be the modern facilities at Ballarat Clarendon College in Ballarat, 120 km from Melbourne.

The 7-round Swiss event will offer a minimum prize fund of AUD 9,000 including an AUD 2,500 first prize.
