BPB Limburg Open 2017

The 11th BPB Limburg Open was held from 2-5th June at the Sporthal de Geusselt in Maastricht, Netherlands.

The event consisted of five sections: Open A for players rated above 2050, Open B for players rated from 1800-2100, Open C1 and C2 for players rated under 1800, and Veterans Group.

The total number of participants throughout all sections was 432. All sections were completed over 7 rounds of Swiss system.

The main Open A had 110 players. Grandmasters Roeland Pruijssers, Christian Bauer and Matthew Sadler shared the first place on 6,0/7 points to earn 1580 EUR each. Pruijssers claimed the winner’s trophy on best tie-break.

In the Open B Jerzy Cebula (NED 2012) took a clear first place with 6,0/7 points.
