Bulgarian Chess Championship 2013

The 77th edition of the Bulgarian Absolute Chess Championship 2013 is taking place on 16th-25th April in the town of Bankia.

Twelve qualified players will battle in a single round robin tournament. The time control will be 90 minutes for the first 40 moves plus 30 minutes to finish the game and 30 seconds increments per move.

The national event has a rating average of 2496. Six GMs and five IMs are among the eligible players to participate. GM Kiril Georgiev is the first seed.

The winner of the event will gain the right to participate in the European Individual Championship with the support of the Bulgarian Chess Federation.
