Capablanca Memorial 2022 is taking place 19-28 April in La Habana, Cuba. This year the event features strong round robins for men and women as well as an open event. In the men round robin, aka Grupo Elite, the ten players are GM Sandro Mareco, GM Hans Niemann, GM Surya Ganguly, GM Mustafa Yilmaz, GM Vasif Durarbayli, GM Yasser Quesada Pérez, GM Carlos D. Albornoz Cabrera, GM Isan Ortiz Suárez, GM Omar Almeida Quintana, and GM Luís Ernesto Quesada.
