The International Chess Forum Moscow Open 2022 takes place from 14-20 July in the Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Center. The program includes open tournaments for men and women, stages of the Cup of Russia, as well as stages of the Children’s Cup of Russia.
The top seeds of the Open A (Men stage of the Russian Cup) are: GM Vladislav Artemiev, GM Aleksandr Rakhmanov and GM Pavel Ponkratov, while WGM Olga Girya, WGM Leya Garifullina and WGM Marina Guseva headline the field of the Open B (Women stage of the Russian Cup). The main event of the Chess Forum Moscow Open 2022 is a closed double round robin with Sergey Karjakin, Anatoly Karpov, Alexander Grischuk, and Alexander Morozevich, being played from 17-20 July.
