China wins FIDE World Team Chess Championship 2022

FIDE World Team Chess Championship 2022 finished today in Jerusalem, Israel. China won the Championship after beating Uzbekistan in the finals with convincing 2-0 result in matches and no need for tiebreaks

GM Jinshi Bai was the Chinese hero of the first final match. He prevailed against GM Shamsiddin Vokhidov and China won with a narrow 2.5-1.5 result as the other three games finished in a draw. GM Li Di was victorious against IM Ortik Nigmatov and with draws on the other three boards, China claimed the overall victory.

2022 Olympiad Champions Uzbekistan won silver and Spain clinched bronze medal as they defeated India in the playoffs for the third place.
