Dariusz Swiercz after crushing Hans Niemann: I feel really really nice

After defeating Levon Aronian in yesterday’s sixth round of the US Chess Championship, Dariusz Swiercz scored his second victory in a row as he today crushed Hans Niemann after only two hours of play. Swiercz achieved a clear advantage in the early part of the middlegame when everything started going wrong for Hans. After Niemann’s inaccurate 22…g6??, Dariusz needed only six more moves to score. Joining the US Chess Championship live studio for the post-game interview, Dariusz said that today he doesn’t feel tired, but really really nice: “[I’m] definitely not tired (laugh). On a more serious note, I feel really really nice. I feel really really good“. Being asked how he spent the rest day after which he scored two important victories, Dariusz revealed he spent the day with his family.
