Dutch Team Cup

hollandOn Thursday, May 10, the Dutch Team Cup finals will take place in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.

Format:
Four teams have qualified for the semi finals: LSG, Voerendaal, MuConsult Apeldoorn and Lonneker. The winners of the semi finals will play the finals. The losers of the semi finals will play for the 3rd-4th place.

Each team consist of 4 players. In case of a 2-2, the teams will play a blitz match. In case of a 2-2 in the blitz, the 4th board of the classical will be eliminated and the score on the top-3 board will decide the winner. If that was a draw, the 3rd board will be eliminated… up until the 2nd board of the blitz. Did all 8 games end in a draw, then drawing of lots decides.

Schedule and Rate of play:
Classical: 110 minutes for the whole game plus an increment of 5 seconds from move one.
Blitz: 3 minutes of the whole game plus an increment of 5 seconds from move one.

For the semi finals, both the team pairings and the team lineups will be decided shortly before the start of the games.

09.45-10.00 hrs (CET) Opening and drawing of lots
10.00-14.00 hrs Semi Finals (Followed by blitz when necessary)
15.00-19.00 hrs Final and match for 3rd/4th place.
