The city of Rijeka is the most important Croatian port and the third largest city in Croatia. City and its surroundings has more than 190,000 inhabitants. Back to 19th century, due to its ideal geographical location and depth of the sea in the Kvarner Bay, Rijeka developed into one of the largest Central European ports and a powerful industrial center. Rijeka was also significant as one of the most important financial centers in the former Yugoslavia.

The beginning of the nineties leads to the collapse of industry and rapid reduction of the port traffic, so in the new millennium Rijeka turns to the development of urban tourism and service sectors.

Rijeka has always been a true sports city which is confirmed by numerous successes of its athletes. /

The new sports hall is another big investment in sports infrastructure of Rijeka. It is a modern public complex situated near the market place and a primary school. There is also a library, the office of the Local Board Zamet, many commercial facilities, public square and the garage. The hall will be used for various sports and cultural events.

Opatija, an elegant tourist destination, lies at the centre of the Riviera with the longest tradition of tourism in Croatia. The very attractive geographic position, enabling its warm seas to be quickly reached from many cities in Central Europe, lush green scenery and a pleasant climate were some of the main reasons for its beginning and the quick development of its tourism at the end of the 19th century. Beautiful nature, parks, old Austrian villas, seaside promenade and beachs attracted tourists from Europe and the rest of the world for over 160 years.

Grand Hotel Adriatic is only a ten-minute walk from the centre of Opatija, next to the sea, with a beautiful view overlooking the Kvarner Bay.

Hotel Milenij is located next to the sea in the historic centre of the town. Hotel complex offers 125 rooms and suites in three villas which are furnished with stylish, modern or traditional Italian style.
