FIDE Candidates Chess 2022 (round 14) LIVE

The FIDE Candidates Chess 2022 will take place in Madrid, from June 16 to July 7. It will be an 8-player double-round robin with some of the world’s top Grandmasters. The winner of the FIDE 2022 Candidates Chess Tournament will qualify for the World Championship match later this year, competing in 14 rounds against the reigning World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen. The field of the Candidates Chess 2022 tournament is led by world number two Ding Liren who replaced Sergey Karjakin as the Russian was banned for 6 months from FIDE competitions. Alireza Firouzja (Grand Swiss winner), Fabiano Caruana (Grand swiss runner-up), Ian Nepomniachtchi (2021 World Chess Champion Match runner-up), Richard Rapport (Grand Prix runner-up who will now change federation to Romania), Hikaru Nakamura (Grand Prix winner), Teimour Radjabov (wild card), and Jan-Krzysztof Duda (World cup winner) complete the battlefield.
