FIDE Seminar for International Organizers in Germany

With effect of the beginning of this year, there will not be any more direct application for the title of International Organizer. All candidates shall be required to attend a seminar and to pass an examination.

The FIDE Trainer Academy Berlin therefore offers a respective weekend seminar for Europe. The seminar will be held in Gladenbach, Germany from 11th to 13th May 2012.

Time schedule:
Friday, 11 May: arrival, 4:00 to 7 p.m. Seminar (Part 1)
Saturday, 12 May: 8:30 to 12:00 a.m. Seminar (Part 2), 2:00 to 6:00 p. m. Seminar (Part 3)
Sunday, 13 May: 8:30 to 12:00 a. m. Seminar (Part 4), Departure

Gladenbach is situated in Hesse, in the vicinity of Marburg. For those arriving by plane, Frankfurt would be the nearest airport. The organizer offers transportation from the train station of Marburg to the venue.

Costs/Fees:
Total amount of 350 €, including hotel (single room, full board) and seminar fee

The seminar will be held in English. If necessary, a translation into German can be arranged.

The first IO Seminar was held in January in Moscow during the Moscow Chess Open.
