FIDE Events Commission with the co-operation of the Turkish Chess Federation organizes a FIDE Seminar for International Organizers on 29-31 August 2012 in Istanbul, Turkey.
The first IO Seminar was held in January in Moscow during the Moscow Chess Open.
German Chess Federation organized the 2nd FIDE IO Seminar in Gladenbach, Germany from 11th to 13th May 2012.

3. Venue: Olympiad Tournament Area, Istanbul Turkey
4. Participation:
Deadline for registrations Monday 27th August. Up to 40 participants (by priority) from all Continents. Successful attendees will grant a FIDE IO Norm necessary for the FIDE IO title application. The new FIDE Organizers’ Manual will be distributed for free among the registered participants.
Update: Only two weeks after the announcement already 30 people are registered to take participation. There are only 10 places left.
