FIDE Seminar for International Organizers in Reykjavik, Iceland

Objective: To educate and certify Organizers on an international basis. The seminar is being organized by Icelandic Chess Federation and will be the first held in Iceland.

Subject: Successful Seminar attendees will grant a FIDE IO Norm. This is necessary for the FIDE IO title application, having also organised 3 norm tournaments. Detail of the International Organizers Titles Regulations can be found here:http://www.fide.com/fide/handbook.html?id=48&view=category

Schedule:
Friday 8th January 18.00 to 22.00 Seminar (Part 1)
Saturday 9th January 10:00 to 16.00 Seminar (Part 2)
Sunday 10th January 10:00 to 14:00 Exams and review

Venue: Icelandic Chess Federation, Faxafen 12, 108 Reykjavik

Evaluation Criteria – FIDE Calendar Regulations – Events’ Management – FIDE Marketing Guide

Seminar Fee: ISK 4.900 (does not include title award fee).

Number of participants: maximum 20

Lecturer:
Gunnar Bjornsson, President of Icelandic Chess Federation, International Organizer, International Arbiter, tournament director of European Team Championship 2015 and Reykjavik Open since 2010. Co-Lecturer is IO Robert Lagerman.

Language: The seminar will be held in English.
