FIDE Women’s Grand Prix 2021 Gibraltar LIVE

The fourth and final leg of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix will take place from May 22 to June 2, 2021, in Caleta Hotel, Gibraltar.

Twelve players will compete in a round-robin event in Gibraltar, fighting for the qualification spot for the FIDE Women’s Candidates Tournament 2022. Two best ranked players on the list with cumulative scores from all 4 Grand Prix events will qualify for Women’s Candidates.

The leader of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix series after 3 events is Aleksandra Goryachkina, who already has a spot in the Candidates event.

With 293 points, Koneru Humpy holds the second place on the overall list and she is 100 points ahead of Kosteniuk Alexandra who will not participate in the Gibraltar event.

Dzagnidze Nana is fourth with 180 points, followed by Lagno Kateryna and Harika Dronavalli, each with 165 points. The difference is that Lagno will have a chance in Gibraltar to improve the score, while Harika won’t play in the event.
