The hefty prize fund of 400 000$ attracted many Top-10 players: Magnus Carlsen, Levon Aronian, Alexander Grischuk, Viswanathan Anand, Fabiano Caruana, Hikaru Nakamura, Sergey Karjakin and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave.
