FIDE World Women’s Chess Championship Match – Game One

The first game of FIDE World Women’s Chess Championship Match between the current World Champion Hou Yifan (China) and challenger Humpy Koneru (India) finished with a draw.

Koneru played white pieces and opened with the Catalan. The game continued deeply into the Rook endgame with pawns on the same side, which eventually produced a draw.
