Fidel Corrales convincing in Cleveland Open

The 9th Annual Cleveland Open was held from August 12-14, 2016, at the Marriott Cleveland Airport, 4277 W 150th Street, Cleveland, Ohio.

The tournament had four sections – Open, U2100, U1700 and U1300. The format was 5-round Swiss with the time control 40/100, SD/30, d10.

The main Open section had 49 players. GM Fidel Corrales Jimenez took the winner’s trophy with perfect 5,0/5 score to claim the top prize of 2100 USD.
