Finnish Chess Federation celebrates 100th anniversary

The Finnish Chess Federation celebrated its 100th anniversary on June 10th in Helsinki. The centennial celebration was attended by Gunnar Bjornsson – ECU Deputy President, Nigel Short – FIDE Vice President, Eetu Tiiva – President of the Finnish Chess Federation, and other distinguished guests. The Finnish Chess Federation was founded on June 10, 1922, and took part in the establishment of the International Chess Federation FIDE in Paris in 1924.
