Geert van Der Velde – the VP of Content of Playmagnus and CCO & VP of Marketing Chessable – commented on the news that Chessable is the new sponsor of the FIDE cycle. “Never in my wildest dreams would I’ve thought we’d go from a 5-man start-up to sponsoring the World Chess Championship in 2 yrs. But, here we are,” he said on his official Twitter account.
The achievement of Geert van Der Velde is admirable. Just recently he published a list of jobs that he had before becoming part of Chessable.

Chessable CEO David Kramaley commented for FIDE, “We see great potential in helping to realize the chess world championship cycle for the hundreds of millions of chess fans in the world. Since 2015, Chessable has communicated a love of science-backed learning, celebrating chess education and curiosity. The chess world championship cycle is the perfect fit for this concept, as it showcases the world’s best players, many of whom are already published Chessable authors, playing for the ultimate title, showing what they know.”
