German grandmaster Alexander Donchenko scored incredible 7/7 points playing the first table for Vandoeuvre-Echecs team at the French Top 16 Team Championship. The team finished in 4th place after the pool stage of the event, but attracted lots of attention thanks to the Board 1 team’s leader. Donchenko won seven games playing against five grandmasters and two international masters, beating respectively: GM Andrey Esipenko (2705), IM Ezra Kirk (2457), GM Arturs Neiksans (2590), GM Arjun Erigaisi (2681), GM Clovis Vernay (2520), IM Lucas Di Nicolantinio (2382), and GM Jorden van Foreest (2702).
