The 9th Open Lugano 2015 took place from 3-6th April, at the luxurious Hotel Pestalozzi****, in Lugano, a city in southern Switzerland, in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino.

The event was a 6-round Swiss tournament with tempo of play 90’/40 + 15′ + 30″.

Bulgarian GM Boris Chatalbashev edged FM Luca Moroni from Italy on tie-break to win the trophy, after both players finished the event with 4,5/6 points.

GM Vladimir Okhotnik (France) and FM Aurelio Colmenares (Switzerland) shared the third place on 4 points each.
