GM David Navara and WIM Tereza Olsarova are 2015 Czech champions

Czech RepublicThe 2015 Czech Individual Chess Championships were held from 15-23rd May, at the Hotel Slunce, in Havlickuv Brod, a district within Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic.

GM David Navara was a convincing winner with 7/9 points. He took the trophy, leaving the nearest followers 1,5 points behind.

GM Jiri Stocek and GM Vlastimil Babula shared second place with 5,5 points each but Stocek prevailed on a superior tie-break score to take the silver.

The women’s section was topped by WIM Tereza Olsarova and WIM Kristyna Havlikova after both players finished with 5,5/7 points. However, Olsarova took the gold on a better tie-break score.

WFM Alena Kubikova remained third with 4 points.
