GM Hovik Hayrapetyan wins Arsen Yeghiazaryan Memorial 2022

The Arsen Yeghiazaryan Memorial took place from 1-9 July in Yerevan, Armenia as a 10-player round-robin tournament, dedicated to the memory of GM, FST and Honored Trainer of the Republic of Armenia Arsen Yeghiazaryan. The event took place at the Tigran Petrosyan Chess House.

GM Hovik Hayrapetyan won the event with convincing 7/9 points. After losing the first round to FM Arad Nazari, Hayrapetyan scored 6 victories and 2 draws to be the sole Winner of the event. FM Arad Nazari and FM Abtin Atakhan tied for the second place with 6 points each, with tiebreaks criteria favoring Nazari who claimed silver, and Atakhan came third.
