GM Ikonnikov tops Pyramiden Cup 2015

The Pyramiden Cup 2015 was held from September 3-6, at the Pyramide Hotel*****, in Furth, a city in northern Bavaria, Germany.

The event was a 7-round Swiss tournament with tempo of play 90′/ 40 + 15′ + 30″.

Russian GM Vyacheslav Ikonnikov and German player Philipp Wenninger tied for the first place with 6/7 points but Ikonnikov clinched the title on a superior tie-break score.

GM Egor Krivoborodov from Russia finished third with 5.5 points.

Christia Kroneder emerged the best female player with 4.5 points and 25th position in the final ranking.
