GM Naiditsch heads the German team for the Chess Olympiad 2012

The German teams for the Chess Olympiad 2012 have been announced by DSB. The men team is headed by GM Arkadij Naiditsch. The core of the winning team from the ETCC is kept with GM Igor Khenkin substituting GM Rainer Buhmann.
GM Peter Heine Nielsen, second of Anand for the WCC match, will assist the German men in their preparation, white the Dortmund Chess 2012 will serve as training event for 4 of the 5 members.

The women team of Germany is led by IM Elizabeth Paehtz. Again there is one difference from ETCC 2011, WGM Tatiana Melamed substitutes WIM Sarah Hoolt.
As opening specialist of the team is selected GM Michael Prusikin who will assist the team during the competition.
