One of the first games to be finished today in the Women’s Chess Olympiad Round 2 was played between Swedish chess legend GM Pia Cramling and WIM Knarik Mouradian (Lebanon). Pia won the game having Black pieces after only nine moves of play as Mouradian terribly blundered a piece with 9.f3 and resigned immediately after. With Pia Cramling’s quick victory, the Swedish women’s team took the 1-0 lead over Lebanon! Round 2 Team pairings / Round 2 board pairings (women’s section)
