GM Sergey Kudrin takes top prize in Eastern Class Championships

The 24th Annual Eastern Class Championships were held from April 24-26, 2015, at the Host Hotel at Cedar Lake, 366 Main St, Sturbridge, Massachusetts.

The event had 7 sections: Master, Expert, Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D and Class E. The playing format was 5-round Swiss with the time control 40/110, SD/30, d10.

The main Master section had 27 participants. Grandmaster Sergey Kudrin took a clear first place with 4,5/5 points to claim the top prize of 1900 USD.

2-3. GM Alexander Ivanov 2610 MA and Igor Sorkin 2445 NY – 4.0
4-5. GM Eugene Perelshteyn 2597 MA and IM Alexander Ross Katz 2401 NJ – 3.5
