GM Sergey Tiviakov wins 24th Rapid Tournament “Paul Keres Memorial” 2015

GM Sergei TiviakovThe 24th International Rapid Chess Tournament “Paul Keres Memorial” 2015 was held from 9th to 11th January 2015 at the Sokos Hotel Viru, in Tallinn, the capital and largest city of Estonia.

109 players from 9 different countries took part in the Preliminary Tournament but only five of them managed to qualify for the final stage.

The Main tournament was won by GM Sergey Tiviakov, who scored 7/9 points.

GM Igor Kovalenko and GM Aleksandr Khalifman tied for the second but Kovalenko prevailed on a superior tie-break score and took the silver.
