GM Vitaly Sivuk is the Winner of the 2nd La Plagne Chess Masters

The 2nd edition of La Plagne Chess Festival took place from 2 – 9 July in the Sun Valley hotel residence located in the heart of the Alps. The festival featured Masters, Accession, Amateur and Blitz tournaments with the total prize fund of 14.000 euros.

GM Vitaly Sivuk won the Masters event thanks to better tiebreaks than Indian GM Inyan. Sivuk and Inyan tied for the first place scoring 7/9 points, each. Four players were in a tie for third place with IM Sayantan Das claiming bronze with the best tiebreak criteria. (Scroll down for final rankings)
